Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and oversee construction and maintenance of railway tracks, stations, and bridges.
- Conduct site inspections and make sure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare detailed reports and project plans.
- Maintain and upgrade rolling stock, locomotives, and other mechanical systems.
- Diagnose technical faults and implement solutions.
- Supervise repair teams and ensure timely execution of maintenance schedules.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of electrical systems, including signaling and power supply.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues in trains and infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with energy efficiency and safety protocols.
- Manage recruitment, employee relations, and training programs.
- Oversee compliance with organizational policies and labor laws.
- Maintain employee records and facilitate performance evaluations.
- Manage budgets, financial records, and audits.
- Prepare financial reports and ensure adherence to government regulations.
- Monitor and control expenditures for projects.
- Provide administrative support, including document preparation and scheduling meetings.
- Maintain records and manage communication within departments.
- Assist in coordinating operational tasks and events.
- Perform regular maintenance and emergency repairs on railway equipment.
- Operate tools and machinery specific to the trade.
- Inspect components and ensure they meet operational standards.
- Operate trains safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-journey inspections and ensure adherence to schedules.
- Respond promptly to emergencies or technical faults during travel.
- Oversee station operations, including scheduling and staff supervision.
- Coordinate with train drivers and control centers for smooth operations.
- Ensure passenger safety and manage crowd control.
- Manage and operate railway signaling systems.
- Monitor train movements and prevent signal failures.
- Communicate effectively with train crews to ensure safety.
- Perform data entry, documentation, and record-keeping tasks.
- Provide IT support for hardware and software issues.
- Address passenger inquiries and resolve complaints efficiently.
- Adhere to Pakistan Railways’ safety and operational standards.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Contribute to improving the efficiency and reliability of railway services.
- Participate in training and professional development programs.
